• Fluids: Check on oil as well as coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluids, and windshield wiper fluids. 
• Windshield Wiper Blades: There’s nothing worse than being unprepared for a heavy rainstorm, which is why it’s important to make sure that your windshield wiper blades are functioning properly. 
• AC: Instead of driving with the windows down on the highway, make sure that your AC it’s working well to keep you cool if you’re traveling during the summer. 
• Safety Kit: While you hopefully never have to use it, it’s always beneficial to be prepared for the worst. Make sure your safety kit has items like drinking water, snacks, jumper cables, medical supplies, duct tape, flares, and other items that you may need on your road trip. 
• Battery: Take a look at your battery to make sure it’s running at its best. You’ll want to look for things like any rustic erosion, and you’ll want to check that the clamps holding down the battery are tight and secure. 
• Tires: Check to make sure that your tires are filled to the appropriate levels of air pressure. Even if your tire pressure monitoring system or TPMS isn’t flashing, it’s still important to check. You’ll also want to keep an eye out for the tread on your tires to make sure that your tires aren’t needing to be replaced anytime soon.
